Lars Own Swedish "Potatis Korv" (Potato Sausage)

Lars Own Swedish "Potatis Korv" Potato Sausage is a tasty Swedish Potato Sausage made with ground beef, ground pork, onions and ground potatoes, served with mustard, lingonberries and more. Great on a roll as well as a main meal.

Originally a specialty from the Swedish province of Värmland, and called Värmlandskorv. This sausage is now known in the U.S. as potatiskorv or potato sausage. Potato sausage is not only a Christmas tradition, but is enjoyed all year long.

Lars Own is a premium collection of gourmet specialties representing popular and traditional Scandinavian and Western European foods.

Sold frozen with a 12 month life, defrost before cooking.

Recommended cooking method:
Bring about 1-1/2" of water to a boil over high heat in fry pan large enough so that sausages aren't crowded. Place sausages in pan and bring water back to boil (about 2 minutes). Reduce heat to medium and simmer the sausages about 10-12 minutes until cooked through. Do not over cook! Lastly, drain off water and brown sausage in a little butter or grill to get a little brown color.
